Discount Calculator
Calculate sale prices, savings and percentages instantly.
About This Tool
The TulQR Discount Calculator has three modes: calculate the final sale price from an original price and discount percentage, determine what percentage off a sale represents, or reverse-calculate the original price from a sale price and known discount.
Why Use a Discount Calculator?
Whether you're shopping during a sale event, comparing prices across retailers, or managing pricing for your own business, knowing the exact discount amount and final price saves time and prevents costly mistakes.
Retailers advertise discounts in different ways — some show the percentage off, others show the sale price directly, and some show both. Our three-mode calculator handles every scenario: given any two of the three values (original price, discount %, sale price), it instantly computes the third.
For business owners, the reverse-calculation mode is especially useful: if a sale price must be $80 and you're offering a 20% discount, this tool tells you the original price needs to be $100 — critical for pricing products correctly.
All calculations run entirely in your browser. No data is sent to any server, and no account is required.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I calculate 20% off $150?
Enter 150 as the original price and 20 as the discount percentage. The calculator shows $30 saved and a final price of $120.
How do I find the original price from a sale price?
Switch to 'Original price' mode. Enter the sale price and the discount percentage, and the calculator will reverse-compute the original price.
What if the discount is more than 100%?
The calculator only accepts discounts between 0% and 100%, since a discount over 100% would mean the seller pays the buyer.
Does it support currency symbols?
The tool treats all values as plain numbers. You can use it with any currency — just read the dollar sign as your local currency symbol.
